I have a neighbor with the most algae covered shingles you could have. I live in a fairly nice area where you wouldn't expect people to be concerned about paying for something so small as a roof cleaning. Your can see large black splotches all over their roof. The house sites on a corner so everyone notices the roof. Im not sure why some people cant justify spending a little money to save their roof from needing replacement. Like I said in another article, the algae spreads from house to house, so I will hold this neighbor responsible if my roof starts to change colors on me.
